Egalité is a Worthing based registered care service providing Community and Supported Living to local, young people with disabilities and Homecare to older people. Over the past 15 years we have gradually grown and now support approximately 80 local people and employ just over 100 full and part time staff in the area. As a care service we have twice been inspected and rated as Outstanding by CQC. We are proud to have maintained this achievement since 2016.
We provide a great deal of in-house training and in 2017, Egalite overcame stiff competition from other local firms to win our first Adur and Worthing Business award for Training and Development. We then went on to repeat this success at the Southern Business Awards the following year. In 2018 we were finalists once again and in 2019 we were proud to win the Adur and Worthing Business award for Large Business. It was a great honour to be judged winners of Best Covid response in 2021 at the Business awards.
It has been an incredible journey for us as a local, family run company. We have also achieved national recognition and in 2020 we made it to the finals of the Skills for Care Accolades awards which recognise social care organisations who invest in their workforce so they can offer high quality services and in 2021 were judged to be Best Supported Living provider finalist nationally. We were also delighted to be included in the 2019 Parliamentary Review, recognising outstanding achievement and innovation nationally as Best Practice representative.
It has been an exciting journey and one that has presented a number of new challenges this past couple of years, but we have adapted and evolved in these challenging times. We have a new office in Findon Valley where we have developed a new, bespoke activity centre for our clients as well as a new training suite in the town centre.
