Rules and Conditions

  1. All entries must be completed using an official Adur & Worthing Business Awards entry form in order to be judged. Online Forms are available to submit here. For guidance on Award Categories, click here.
  2. Contenders may enter themselves or be nominated by another. If a contender is nominated by someone outside the nominated business, then the nominated business will be invited to submit an entry in accordance with the rules and criteria of the awards.
  3. Individuals and organisations may enter up to 3 categories only. Each entry should be on a separate entry form.
  4. Entries for 2024 will open in June (date TBC) following the official launch event.  The closing date for entries is Friday 13thSeptember 2024.
  5. Entry is open to those companies located and trading within the Adur & Worthing area. Please see our map for clarification on eligible areas.  If an entry or nomination is received from a business located outside of the area but with a strong Worthing & Adur connection, the organising committee are at liberty to use their discretion and the committee’s decision will be final.
  6. The Adur & Worthing Business Awards reserves the right, after consultation with the entrant, to move submissions to a more appropriate category.
  7. Once a candidate has been announced as a finalist, they cannot withdraw from the competition.
  8. All information supplied by entrants will be treated in the strictest confidence, with all judges obliged to sign non-disclosure agreements.
  9. No responsibility will be accepted by the award organisers for any material sent or any entry lost or delayed. Incomplete entries will not be judged.
  10. Adur & Worthing Business Awards is not liable for any costs incurred by candidate organisations during the judging process.
  11. A panel of judges will assess the entries and produce a shortlist in each category. The Shortlist for 2023 can be found here. Successful entries will be contacted by the organisers by email.
  12. Each shortlisted entry will be sent an official AWBA finalist logo for their use. The 2023 winners can be found here.
  13. If it is found that any entrant has knowingly provided false information on their application for their entry, the Adur & Worthing Business Awards reserves the right to withdraw any entry at any time submitted by that organisation.
  14. Applicants must be authorised to enter their organisation into the awards.

The award winners will be announced at the Awards evening taking place at the Worthing Pavilion, Marine Parade, Worthing BN11 3PX.  The 2024 Awards will take place on Friday 8th November.
